This morning, I was at Cabramatta railway station. On the train to the city via Regent’s Park. My stop was Chester Hill. There were still a few moments before the train departed, and I looked out through the opened doors to Railway Parade, Cabramatta, where I saw a man sitting on a bus stop bench.

He was Charles Bukowski’s twin brother, doppelganger. He looked exactly like 80s Bukowski, when he was in his 60s. He looked like Bukowski. He dressed like Bukowski. He lit his cigarette, held it, and smoked it like Bukowski.

I had never seen this guy before. Was he just a guy who happened to look like Bukowski? Or had 80s Bukowski travelled in time, or was it the Ghost of Bukowski future/past- past future?
